Water conservation has been great issue for more than a decade. The world becomes more environmentally conscious and many of our natural resources become more endangered. That reason makes many experts and educator find the ways to save and conserve these precious resources. Water is especially scarce in many regions of the world today. And add to that the significance of safe drinking water and the problem becomes even more severe.

But, we do not have to be an expert or teacher in conserving water. There are many things we, as ordinary people, can do. First, you can search online many tips for conserving water. The web will also provide you the condition in many countries. Some of the countries are very poor in term of water stock. Truly, it will change your mind. While many of the suggestions are common sense and are widely known, here are a few that are not so popular but can make an impact in your water use.

Your morning daily activity perhaps starts with washing the cars. This activity will be doubled especially in the summer. Instead of using your garden hose and a bucket, go to a car wash that uses recycled water to wash your car. This will save gallons of water. Then, when you give your pets a bath, do it outside in an area of your lawn that needs watering. This will serve a dual purpose and save water-and money on your water bill. It’s easy to grab a few dirty clothes and then start the washing machine. But you should wait until you have a full washer before turning it on. Finally, another way to save water is to only water your garden on days when the wind is not blowing. When you water on windy days, the water either evaporates or it blows away.
